Cougars Win Third Straight State Baseball Championship
Congratulations to our Varsity Baseball team on winning their third straight Class 3A state championship! On Thursday, May 24, 2018, our Cougars won 6-1 over Tallahassee North Florida Christian School, finishing the season with a 27-5 record.
As shared in The News-Press, “Canterbury baseball (27-5) became the fourth Lee County athletic program to win three straight state crowns, joining Canterbury volleyball (2000-02), Estero High girls cross-country (2010-13) and Fort Myers girls basketball (2016-18). Southwest Ranches Archbishop McCarthy, Miami Westminster Christian and Canterbury are the only baseball teams in state history to go back to back to back.”
