Red Cross Club Hosts Senior Citizens’ Prom
Canterbury’s Red Cross Club hosted a special Senior Citizens’ Prom on Saturday, May 26, 2018, for the residents at Brookdale College Parkway, an independent living community for seniors.
Student volunteers supplied the decorations, music, and food. They even made sure to crown a prom king and queen!
“The event itself was very cute,” shared Myesha C. ’19, president of Canterbury’s Red Cross Club. “The residents danced, ate, and enjoyed talking to our student volunteers. It was heartwarming to see the residents so excited. One resident even told one of the students that it made their year!”
