Workshop: Finding the Balance in Parenting

Parenting, the hardest job you’ll ever love! We all need a little assistance sometimes. We invite our Canterbury Community to come for a “parent tune-up” from Patricia Stanley in her talk “Finding the Balance in Parenting” on Thursday, February 7, at 8:00 a.m. in the Ellenberg Library.
When was the last time you wondered if you were doing the right thing? If you had handled a situation correctly? Or if you taught the right thing at the right moment to your child? If you’re like most parents, these questions go through your head at least 10 times a day. Let Patricia Stanley, a veteran educator, administrator, parenting coach, and functional nutrition educator share with you some helpful tips for Finding the Balance in Parenting. Issues such as: learning to listen and staying out of “the roller coaster ride,” stop saving and instead empower your child, over-scheduled kids and the pressures surrounding achievement, and navigating the changes in your parent role as your child ages, are some of the topics we will discuss.
