Community Service

In order to help our students become responsible citizens who will lead and serve, Canterbury School seeks to cultivate a habit of volunteerism to help address some of the needs of the Fort Myers community as well as the greater world community. The Community Service Program strives to develop a caring student community, individual and group leadership, and a fundamental sense of human altruism thereby making service to others "A Way of Life."

Upper School

All Upper School students, who attend all four years at Canterbury, must have a minimum of 100 community service hours to graduate. Additionally, all Upper School students have an annual community service requirement. New students will be expected to fulfill the required hours for the years they attend Canterbury.

Any questions regarding Upper School Community Service at Canterbury School may be shared with Mrs. Cindy Lyons.

Middle School

Each Middle School student is required to amass 10 community service hours each year. With the many opportunities in our area and within our school, we encourage our students to give time to those people and/or organizations in need.

Any questions regarding Middle School Community Service at Canterbury School may be shared with Mrs. Shannon Orlandini, Middle School Community Service Advisor.
