Canterbury Track & Field Shines at 1A State Meet

Canterbury was proud to send six standout student-athletes to the FHSAA 1A State Track & Field Championships, where they competed with heart, resilience, and determination.
  • Collin M. ’25 earned second place in High Jump with a mark of 1.92m, overcoming a three-hour weather delay and clearing the bar on his first attempt. This marks his second state appearance.

  • Ava W. ’27 took fifth place in High Jump with a jump of 1.52m, also in her second state showing.

  • Joslyne D. ’26, in her third trip to state, claimed third place in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 14.63 and also placed 11th in the 200m (25.63), a strong finish after an injury-shortened season.

  • Cheyenne M. ’26 ran the open 400m, placing 11th in state with a time of 1:00.63—an impressive shift from her 4x100 performance at last year’s state meet.

  • Mason J. ’25, after major surgery as a sophomore, made a triumphant return to qualify for state as a senior, placing 15th in the 400m (52.15).

  • Clara T. ’27 made her first state appearance, placing 14th in the 800m with a time of 2:24.87, a comeback story after injury last season.

We celebrate the incredible perseverance and achievements of our athletes. Congratulations to all on a remarkable season, and best wishes to our seniors as they take their next steps!
