On Friday, May 30, 2025, the Canterbury community gathered in the Murphy Sports Center to honor and celebrate the extraordinary Class of 2025, our largest graduating class to date, with 87 seniors crossing the stage and stepping boldly into their futures.
This class leaves behind an impressive legacy: 26,128 hours of community service, $2,465,420 in scholarships, grants, and awards, and acceptances to more than 137 colleges and universities. These Cougars are artists, scientists, athletes, writers, dreamers, doers, and future leaders.
A Legacy of 60 Years and Counting Head of School Rick Kirschner addressed the graduates, families, and guests, marking not only the end of one chapter but also Canterbury’s 60th anniversary. “Class of 2025, you are the legacy of 60 years of excellence,” he said. “But more than that, you are the bridge to what comes next.”
He encouraged the graduates to embrace their next chapter with courage and purpose: “Go forward boldly. Create, question, lead, and serve. Be the reasonable voice in a noisy world. Be the hands that build when others walk away. Be the light that shines when others falter.”
