Canterbury Inducts 19 Students into Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society

Nineteen Canterbury students were formally inducted into the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The ceremony, held in the Performing Arts Center, was an intimate celebration attended by family members and teachers.
To qualify for induction into Rho Kappa, students must be juniors or seniors, hold a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership and service, participate in Model UN, Mock Trial, or DECA for at least two years combined, and complete at least one AP-level social sciences course.
 
Dr. Ron Young opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks before inviting current senior members to lead the traditional candle-lighting ceremony and officially induct their peers. Click here to view the full photo gallery.
