Eighth Grade Students Honored

On Thursday, May 29, 2025, the Class of 2029, along with their families and Canterbury faculty, gathered in the Murphy Sports Center to celebrate the accomplishments of students preparing to transition from Middle School.
Head of Middle School Sharon Laconi opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, followed by a special message from Head of School Rick Kirschner. Two members of the Class of 2029, Lexi M. ’29 and Riya S. ’29, also shared reflections with the audience.

Students were recognized for their achievements in academics, the arts, athletics, service, and leadership. A complete list of award recipients can be found below. Advisors for the 67 eighth-grade students then took the stage to share special memories and favorite quotes before presenting each student with a Certificate of Promotion.
