On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Canterbury community gathered for a special Senior Signing Day assembly to honor an extraordinary group of students taking their talents to the collegiate level in athletics and the arts.

This prestigious event brought together outstanding student musicians from five private schools in Southwest Florida—Canterbury, First Baptist Academy, Southwest Florida Christian Academy, Community School of Naples, and Seacrest Country Day School—for a collaborative and inspiring musical experience.
The Canterbury Middle School Symphonic Band recently showcased its incredible talent at Universal Studios Florida, competing in the prestigious OrlandoFest Band Competition. The ensemble, composed of seventh and eighth graders, delivered an outstanding performance, earning an Excellent Rating for their hard work and musicianship.

Five talented Canterbury musicians—Caroline L. ’26, Braden B. ’27, Sam T. ’26, Sophia B. ’26, and Abby K. ’25—were selected to participate in the University of South Florida’s Festival of Winds, held December 5-8, 2024. This prestigious event brought together some of the best high school musicians from across Florida to perform in three elite concert bands, each consisting of approximately 100 students.
Three talented Canterbury students—Chris M. ’25, Riya S. ’29, and Liam T. ’29—recently represented the school at the prestigious Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) All-State Music Convention, held January 8-11, 2025, in Tampa.
