Students can be referred by a parent, teacher, administrator, or self referral.  The Student Support Services team will then evaluate the concerns, perform preliminary screening assessments if applicable, and provide referrals if additional testing is warranted.  Pending the results of these assessments and the professional documentation of learning challenges, teachers may then receive information on strategies and accommodations to assist the student.  These same students may be eligible for accommodations on standardized testing here at school, the ACT, or College Board examinations.  If you are interested in the application, approval, or assessment process, please contact Sarah Waldau, Academic Support Specialist, for additional information.
