Canterbury is an established leader in science and technology education with our Independent Science Research program, cutting-edge computer science courses, and state-of-the-art lab facilities. Highlights include our outdoor marine biology classroom, complete with a 1,000-gallon saltwater touch tank, as well as engaging opportunities in engineering, forensics, artificial intelligence, and much more.

Leadership is a key component of the Canterbury experience. Opportunities big and small, formal and informal, exist in and out of classrooms. Flagship programs include Student Council, Honor Council, and our Leadership Institute for Tomorrow, or LIFT.

The arts and athletics are integral parts of our overall educational experience at Canterbury.  From visual and performing arts to video production and music, we are pleased to present one of the most robust and diverse arts programs in Southwest Florida. Athletics also enriches the lives of Canterbury students, creating a climate of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. With 42 teams in 15 sports, our athletics program encourages students to develop new skills and talents, often with dramatic results.

Social responsibility is an integral part of the mission of Canterbury School. Students experience the effects of meaningful service learning with a combination of classroom discussions and lessons, hands-on opportunities in the community, and thoughtful reflections.
