Athlete of the Week: August 21-27, 2023

Addi was explosive in the home opener against No. 1 Barron Collier High School, helping lead the Cougars to a thrilling five-set victory (25-17, 24-26, 25-21, 25-27, 15-13) over the top team in district. Addi notched her first double-double of the year with 19 kills and 19 digs, and dropped in four aces.

 

"Addi played a pivotal role in our win over Barron Collier," said head volleyball coach Charlie Castillo. "Her leadership and production was on full display in the biggest match of the young season." 

 

The Cougar volleyball team remains undefeated on the season as they head to Tampa this Labor Day weekend to participate in the Volleyball Tournament of Champions, one of the top high school volleyball tournaments in the country.
