XC Teams Qualify for Regionals
Congratulations to the boys and girls cross country teams on qualifying for the FHSAA Regional Cross Country Championships!
Both squads punched their tickets on Thursday morning {November 2} at Southwest Florida Christian Academy. The boys team finished 5th overall, while the girls finished 7th as a team.
Eighth grader Gabby O. '28 led all Cougar girl runners, finishing 14th overall (21:56) with Clara T. '27 finishing close behind in 17th place (22:14).
For the boys team, junior Travis H. '25 was the first Cougar to cross the finish line, finishing 14th overall (18:00), while brother Justin H. '24 finished shortly after with a time of 18:21 for 21st place.
The Cougar cross country teams will travel to Lakeland, Fla. for the FHSAA 1A, Region 3 Championship on Thursday, November 9 at Holloway Park. The girls race will begin at 7:55 a.m., with the boys following at 8:20 a.m.
