Hearing & Vision Screening
The Lee County Health Department cooperates with private schools in Lee County to provide health screening (as listed below) in each school. In cases in which possible health problems are identified, parents are notified and requested to seek medical advice. Screening tests are not diagnostic but point to the need for further medical evaluation. No treatment is administered as part of the program in the schools. The program involves screening for potential problems only.
The Health Screening Program involves the following:
Screening Grades
Vision PreK, K, 1, 3, 6
Hearing PreK, K, 1, 3, 6
Scoliosis 6
Height and Weight for Growth and Development (all grades listed above)
The screenings will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2019.
You will be notified of the results of the screening only if your child appears to have a problem.
