Mock Trial’s Best Performance Yet
Canterbury’s Mock Trial team finished second place in the Lee County Mock Trial Competition on February 4 and 5, 2021! Organizers hosted this year’s competition virtually.
Outstanding performances from the team include Daniel Z. ’22 winning Best Prosecution Attorney, Logan H. ’21 winning Best Prosecution Witness, and Payton Z. ’21 winning Best Closing Argument.
Thank you to Mr. Cross for his years of guidance to this stellar team and teams of years past. We would also like to thank one of our alumni, Jonathan (Jon) Spellman '05. He is an independent attorney with his own practice, The Law Offices of Jonathan M. Spellman, off of Colonial Boulevard, and practices both criminal and civil law. Jon provided countless pro bono hours as an Attorney Coach and helped guide the team to their victory.
Mr. Cross said, “Our team put forward the best performance that I have ever seen in the twelve years during which I have sponsored this program. They worked very hard, and I am truly proud of them.”
