Club Spotlight: Rotary Interact Club

Service above self. Kyle S. '25, with the help of Collin M. '25, wanted to do more to serve their Southwest Florida community, while also providing service opportunities for their peers.

"Myself, along with the help of Collin, wanted to increase our personal impact on our community through leading and providing other Canterbury students with service and volunteer opportunities," said Kyle when asked why he started the Rotary Interact Club.

In its first year, the Rotary Interact Club has lived up to its motto, "service above self". They were on the ground serving the Heights community after Hurricane Ian. The club also partnered with the Heights Foundation for their annual Christmas Toy Drive, and most recently, volunteered at a mini golf tournament with the Club of Fort Myers South (its club sponsor) to raise money for various local and international charities.

What's the future of the club?

"We are excited to find new ways to get into our community and love and serve the people of Southwest Florida" said Kyle. "And we hope to instill the love of service and giving back to future generations, so after we graduate the Rotary legacy of service will live on."
