Athlete of the Week: January 15-21, 2024
Congratulations to varsity girls basketball player Leena A. '27 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of January 15-21, 2024.
The freshman guard/small forward has been instrumental for the Lady Cougars the second half of the season. Most recently, Leena put up 16 points in two of the last three games and has been a presence inside the paint grabbing rebounds and blocking shots.
"I am so proud of Leena and how she continues to grow and get better with every game," said head girls basketball coach Camary Williams. "She's been a vital part of the team, not only grabbing rebounds, but blocking shots as well."
Leena and the girls basketball team will be back in action on Monday, January 29 in the Murphy Sports Center as the Cougars host Charlotte High School. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
