Athlete of the Week: January 29- February 4, 2024
Congratulations to varsity girls soccer player Kali Y. '26 on being selected as our Athlete of the Week for the week of January 29- February 4, 2024.
Kali was instrumental in the girls soccer team's success a week ago during the FHSAA 2A District 11 tournament. She provided an assist in the district semifinal and final matches, as well as finding the back of the net in the 2-0 win over Imagine School to help the Cougars bring home a District Championship.
"Kali has been a rock for us this season," said head girls soccer coach Paolo Acosta. "Leading as the captain she is, she made sure the district title came back to Canterbury."
Kali and the girls soccer team hosted Seacrest Country Day School for the region quarterfinals this past week at FineMark Field. The Cougars' post-season run came to a close after dropping a close match in penalty kicks.
