Canterbury Chinese Students Compete at State Competition

Upper School Chinese students traveled to Lake Highland Preparatory School, March 1-2, 2024, to participate in the 18th Annual Florida Statewide Chinese Competition.
Ms. Yu He is happy to announce that the team finished in first place in three cultural activities: jump rope, Chinese yo yo, and jianzi (Chinese shuttlecock). 

"I am so proud of our students' outstanding performances... everyone knows Canterbury now," remarked Yu He. "A couple of teachers came to me and expressed their amazement at our students' speaking ability in Chinese."

In addition to our wins in cultural activities, our students performed very well in the more formal assessments.

Alexa G. '24 - Superior in Speaking; (Topic “The Internet,” 3 minutes, followed by 3-4 questions related to the topic); Excellent in Reading; Superior in Listening.
