Science National Honor Society Welcomes New Members

Canterbury's chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) welcomed more than 50 new members on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in a formal induction in Canterbury's Performing Arts Center.
The Science National Honors Society admits students who have shown both promise and dedication in collegiate-level science courses. With high membership requisites and a large community service requirement, these students are both scholars and leaders within Canterbury's scientific community.

To be eligible for, and to maintain membership, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • A course schedule that reflects an interest and aptitude in the sciences
  • A 3.7 (A-) unweighted for all non-AP science classes
  • A 3.5 (B+) unweighted for all AP science classes
  • An overall weighted GPA of 3.5
  • Members must demonstrate good character and citizenship
