The boys and girls cross country teams raced at the North Port Invitational sponsored by Danny Duncan on Saturday, September, 22nd. The boys were entered into the small school division and placed 8th overall. Six out of the seven boys hit major personal best times! Some even shaved over a minute and a half off their prior PRs! Andrew dipped under 20:00 by a second with Joey on his heels to hit 20:00 flat! David also managed a PR despite being sick!

The girls were entered into the early Elite division against some powerhouse teams from all over the state in all divisions. They placed a respectable 15th out of 25 teams and were the first 1A team to cross all 5 scorers over the finish line! Seven out of the eight girls hit new personal best times! Michelle showed the biggest improvement with a 45 second PR. Alyssa dipped under 25 minutes for the first time. Jess placed in the top 10 with an ninth place finish and hit a new PR.
