Canterbury's Thanksgiving Food Drive Now Underway

Canterbury's annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Nations Association is officially underway. Each year, our school's generosity ensures that dozens of local families in need will have enough food for the week of Thanksgiving. In order for this food drive to be successful, it is extremely important that each grade level bring in all of their assigned food.
All non-perishables are due on November 9, 2018.
All perishables are due on November 15, 2018.
  • Pre-K3: Each student needs to bring in (1) large fruit pie (not refrigerated or frozen, no crumble pies) and (1) two-pound bag of carrots
  • Pre-K4: Each student needs to bring in (3) cans of gravy and (1) three-pound bag of apples
  • Kindergarten: Each student needs to bring in (3) cans of gravy and (1) three-pound bag of apples
  • First Grade: Each student needs to bring in (3) boxes of macaroni and cheese and (1) five-pound bag of white potatoes
  • Second Grade: Each student needs to bring in (3) boxes of macaroni and cheese and (1) five-pound bag of white potatoes
  • Third Grade: Each student needs to bring in (1) two-pound bag of carrots and (1) large fruit pie (not refrigerated or frozen, no crumble pies)
  • Fourth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (1) large box of cereal and (3) 15 or 15.25-ounce cans of vegetables
  • Fifth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (1) large box of cereal and (3) 15 or 15.25-ounce cans of vegetables
  • Sixth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (4) 26-ounce cans of soup
  • Seventh Grade: Each student needs to bring in (2) 16-ounce packages of spaghetti and (1) jar of spaghetti sauce  
  • Eighth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (1) large jar of peanut butter and (1) large jar of jelly  
  • Ninth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (3) large cans of tuna fish or canned chicken
  • Tenth Grade:  Each student needs to bring in (1) five-pound bag of rice and (1) 32-ounce bag of dried black or pinto beans
  • Eleventh Grade: Each student needs to bring in (4) 14.75-ounce cans of fruit
  • Twelfth Grade: Each student needs to bring in (3) powdered drink mixes (powdered milk, lemonade, tea, and drink mixes) 
We also greatly appreciate money for turkeys! Our goal is a minimum of $3.00 per student. Thank you for your support!
